How is Botox administered?

During your free consultation, the muscles responsible for the wrinkle will be identified. The area is cleaned and using a very fine needle, Botox is administered. The needle generally does not cause pain, however you might experience a slight burning sensation. 

What are the side effects?

No recovery time is needed after Botox is administered, however bruising may occur. In rare occasions, a minor eyelid droop might occur however this is not permanent.

​What is Botox and how does it work?

Botox, also know as Botulinum toxin, is a purified protein that blocks the action of nerves conversely resulting in the relaxation of muscles responsible for wrinkles.

Following the treatment, generally 3 to 4 days, you can expect to see softening of your wrinkles with maximal desire effects after 2 weeks. 

Botox is not permanent, and generally lasts 3 months. However some may observe longer lasting effects up to 5 months. Generally with repeat injections you may expect Botox to last longer.
